New Daily Topic: Did You Move to Lose Today

Greetings all,

I borrowed this idea from the main board since I have not seen it in awhile. So since a bunch of us are starting to workout together I thought it might be a good idea to start this thread here on the California Forum. Thought maybe we could help motivate each other and see if we can just get going.

Just post what you did today in the form of any excersise (walking, running, gym workouts.....well you get the idea) and lets see what happens.

So far today I did my morning routine on my evil treadmill (yes we are finally getting along). I did my normal 5 minute warm up then 24 minutes (was shooting for 25) at 2 mph at a 5% incline and the 5 minute cool down. Just over 3/4 of a mile. I addition, I did a 20 minute Pilates workout. Wife bought me the kit and said "just give it a try, it's not just a girl thing". I plan on going and doing the walk with Kat and Jennji this evening at the park in North Fontana and looking forward to it......

I'm not allowed to do much moving yet...but I went on a walk to the market last night instead of driving.

Great idea Rick!!

I have not done much today.  I am having issues with my hip and both feet which make it hard to walk but I push through it.  I did a lot yesterday.  I walked to and from work (10 min walk both ways), walked to the store and back (very short...5 min) plus walking through the store.  Then last night, I walked to church and back (about 15 each way).

Today, I walked to work this morning and I will walk back in the afternoon.  My feet hurt pretty bad today so I am not sure how much I will do today.  I really need some good walking shoes but I just can't afford it right now.

Hi Rick.  Haven't moved much yet.  Just sitting at my desk working away.  LOL
I anticipate doing some water aerobics and also walk aerobics before the day ends.

Well I will do downstairs today, then walk from the car to the doctors office and back.  Then upstairs.  That will totally wear me out, but then when you have been on your recliner for almost 3 months....that is alot of work!

I love this idea!  Will keep me motivated to keep going so I can report.. just like wacky weigh in wednesdays :)

I just got up so I'll report last nights now and come back tonight and report todays.

Last night I swam.. doing laps and laps of kicking in the pool as my shoulder is still bugging me.  Then I came home, took my Mom's dog for a walk around the block, dropped her back at the house (she is older)  and then took off for a mile walk.. made it in 25 mins.  Not too bad I think for me atm. :)  I was excited.   Walking at 11pm is so nice and cool and relaxing:)

Will be exercising tonight.

So.. does anyone have 24 fitness membership?  I've had it forever but haven't gone forever and now all the clubs have upgraded and I guess I need to upgrade.  I've paid $12 per month forever and now Im nervous to what my fee will be jumped too.  Just curious if anyone knows.  Im ready to start tackling a beg. aerobic class again.. I can't wait!! :)

Hey Rick and Cali,

I will be walking to pick up my son from the bus stop today instead of driving. Other than that not much.. unless.. housework counts>>>I always have plenty of housework to do for some reason! hmmph! lol

I walked a mile this morning.  I keep forgetting to take my watch to time myself although I am not breaking any speed records! I am happy with that though.

Well yes Rick I moved..... I walked with you and Katt and then we excersied our jaws and we'll we did laugh so we did move abdominal muscles.
